Welcome to the online home of Beechwood Trails Pet Lodge. Here you'll
be able to find answers to your questions about us and the lodge. You
should be able to get a feel for how much we'll enjoy having your pet as our
honored guest.
My wife and best friend, Tina, and I have always known that we could run a
better, happier type of pet boarding place. There's just no other way to say
it: we love dogs. The love we have for dogs is the foundation on which we
built and we operate our pet lodge.
We have built Beechwood Trails Pet Lodge from the ground up, one piece
at a time, because buying an existing building and making it fit our dream
just wouldn't have worked out so well. We have done our best to make this
the comfortable, safe, retreat-like pet vacation spot you will give your
wholehearted approval to. We chose a 14 acre tract of land lying in the
beautiful Chattahoochee Hill Country of rural, southern Douglas County. It's
the perfect location that is far enough out to be quiet and peaceful, yet an
easy ride from all the South and West Metro Atlanta towns and
communities. And, too, it's a straight shot up the South Fulton Parkway to
the Atlanta Airport, making it a quick drop-off and pickup when you need to
fly out of town.
First and foremost, Beechwood Trails Pet Lodge is a safe, bright and
happy place. Tina and I are happy people, and we know from having raised
and owned many, many dogs, treating them with kind happiness is the only
way. They're happy when you're happy. A pet raised and tended to with
patience and a smiling face will end up being the happy pet you always
hoped for. Pets develop a sense of humor just as people do. Living in a
happy environment brings out the best in them. Anger and forcefulness
have no place in dealing with pets, or people, and they have no place at
Beechwood Trails.
We are nothing like the big corporate owned boarding kennels coming into
fashion nowadays. This is a family owned and operated business. There
will probably never be a need to go any further than family members for
help; but if it becomes necessary for us to hire someone to help us with the
day to day running of the business, it's my word that person will be carefully
screened to determine whether they have the natural kindness, patience
and love for animals that Tina and I have.
