Premium, All Natural Dog Foods
Although we encourage owners to bring their pet's food from home to help
eliminate any stomach upsets, we feed our guests what we believe is the
best pet food money can buy. This is what we feed our own "kids", and you
know how much they mean to us from what you read on our "About Us" page.
We are making a change in what we serve here, due to a few problems that
very few guests have had with Canidae's formula change. Most pet owners
who serve Canidae are unaware that a change was made, but due to the
number of different dogs we keep here, we had a wider, overall view of the
effect the formula change made in the greater dog population. Please
believe us, we are not saying Canidae is now a bad food, but it did cause
some system upsets.
So in response, and to make sure we are looking out for your pet's health
and comfort, we are changing to Nature's Select. We were so impressed
after reading Nature's Select ingredient list, and after talking to the owner of
the company, their exceptional food will be served here.
Canidae will continue to be sold here and we will continue to recommend it
to anyone. We hope no other dogs will have a problem with it.
We thought long and hard about making this change, but the system upsets
due to the formula change is something we had to act on.
Announcement!
We have discovered another topnotch dog food, and like with all the very
best and highest rated foods, they AREN'T made by the big pet food
corporations, but are made at smaller, usually family-run companies.
Conventional wisdom tells us: 'The big companies have the most dollars to
invest in nutrition research, so that must be where the best foods are found.
Two words: "Ain't so." Profitability and shareholder return becomes an
obstacle too high and too wide for quality to make it past. When it becomes
more important to meet Wall Street expectations than to produce nutritionally
sound, quality food, the low man on the totem pole - the dog - suffers.
The dog food we'd like to bring to your attention today is Taste of the Wild.
Taste of the Wild is a super premium, grain free (no corn, wheat, or one of
the other usual culprits that cause allergy problems) pet food whose
ingredient list dwarfs other, so-called, premium foods. And what's more,
Taste of the Wild has been able to keep their price low enough where, we,
the average persons (Average? Uh... I'm not talking about you. I was talking
about the other person) can afford the best for our pets. Yep, our kids have
been switched to Taste of the Wild, and they go wild at mealtime. And with
high quality foods like this, you feed a much smaller amount than you will
with, say, Purina Beneful. Think about it: less food in, less poop out. And
with less food in, you're having to buy less! There's just no downside to
switching from the low quality food you may be feeding to a super premium
food at a good price. So what exactly makes what you're feeding low
quality? Sit down and familiarize yourself with the all-important ingredient
list. That's your only clue as to what goes inside your pet. Better yet, click
here, where I've compared on our News Page the ingredient list of Taste of
the Wild to two very popular foods, Purina Beneful and Pedigree. Only one
look will change the way you've always thought about these very poor quality
foods.

websites at Taste of the Wild, Nature's Select and Canidae.
