You know, Pete, as soon as he showed up at our house, the other
"kids" knew he was a keeper long before Tina and I realized it.  I
guess, in the back of our minds, we were thinking that we need
another dog like, well, like I need to hear another news report
about global warming!  Anyway, for now, at least, Pete's staying
here, and unless the perfect home comes along, he'll continue
staying with us.  He's such a pleasure, it's hard to let him go!
