| What's the difference between a Whippet and a Greyhound you ask? A Whippet gets rubber in the first three gears and the Greyhound passes the Whippet in fourth. Acceleration is the Whippet's game. The Greyhound's is speed. The Whippet maneuvers like a Corvette and the Greyhound is all top end. In this picture, Windy (right) was fresh from racing school. You can tell by how skinny she is. We normally bring them up about five pounds once they come to our house. She flunked out of racing, deciding to bypass the track and go straight for a comfortable couch. I don't blame her. |
